General Notes: My sources give no ancestry for Juliane. Despite several sources on World Connect that have Juliane being a daughter of John and Maria, I have doubts. Juliane, I believe was born much earlier, since her first son Gerald FitzGerald was supposedly born about 1220. And more importantly, her second son Maurice married as his 1st wife Juliane's half sister Maud, widow of Maurice de Rocheford. Juliane married Maurice FitzGerald 2nd Baron of Offaly, son of Gerald FitzMaurice 1st Baron of Offaly and Eve de Bermingham Heiress of Offaly. (Maurice FitzGerald 2nd Baron of Offaly was born about 1190 2 3 and died in 1257 in Franciscan Friary of South Abbey, Eochaill (Youghal), Cork, Munster, IE 2 3.) |
