The Keatch family lived in the Merton, Surrey area from the mid-18th Century. As millwrights their lives centred on the Wandle mills which, no doubt, led to George Thomas Keatch (1857-1936) meeting and marrying Annie Elizabeth Wagland (1867-1953), the grandaughter of James Wagland (1808-1881) featured below.
Prior to 1750 the Keatch family probably lived closer to London, in Wandsworth. Their spouses' families were also Surrey-based with the exception of the Shaves family (Diana Shaves (1815-1885) married William Keatch (1806-1865)) who hailed from Kent and Essex.
