--------------------

Turton has Aimon's wife as Itta de Faucigny, daughter of Louis Seigneur de Faucigny, while AR & Michel Dourneau have his wife as Ida de Glane.

Note: James Dow Allen posted a pedigree to SGM, 18 Dec 2000, which showed Louis de Faucigny marrying either his "half-sister Ida de Faucigny" or "Ida dau. of Pierre Count of Glane". Todd Farmerie critiqued his pedigree but made no mention of that part of it. So who knows?

The following was given in a post-em by Curt Hofemann, curt_hofemann AT yahoo.com:

ID: I03991 Ida of Glane
ALIA: Itha de /Faucigny/
Note: Turton has Aimon's wife as Itta de Faucigny, daughter of Louis Seigneur de Faucigny.

FWIW:
father possibly Peter of Glane but more probably Louis I Lord of Faucigny [Ref: Moriarty p107]

father NOT Peter Count of Glane [Ref: Moriarty p261]

My notes indicate that ES XI:158 also identifies her as Ita de Faucigny d. before 1090.

Interestingly, Paul McBride at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~pmcbride/rfc/gw126.htm#I9683
(see: Tietburge of Savoy) citing Turton & RfC makes Ita dau of Louis de Faucigny Seigneur de Faucigny and Tietburge of Savoy which would mean that Ita married her half brother!!! Not very likely in my opinion. Perhaps a query to SGM/Gen-Medieval would get a definitive answer.

Regards,
Curt 1
