Will, 31 Jul 1721, Brede, East Sussex, TN31, GB. 2 In the Name of God Amen I Henry Richardson of Bread in the County of Sussex Yeoman
being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding praised be Almighty God for the same but considering the
uncertainty of this mortall life and being desirous to settle my worldly Estate so as to avoid all unhappy disputes and
differences after my decease concerning the same do hereby revoke all former Wills by me made and declare them void and
do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in writing in manner and forms following that is to say, First and
principally desire Almighty God my heavenly ffather to receive my Soul through the merritts and passion of Jesus Christ
my blessed Saviour and Redeemer and my Body I committ to the Earth to be therein directly buried at the discretion of my
Extor herein after named And as for my worldly Estate I give and dispose thereof as followeth Impris I Give and
bequeath unto Damaris my dear and loving Wife One annuity or yearly Sum of twelve Pounds to be paid to her by my Extor
hereafter named during her naturall Life without any manner of deduction whatsoever at the four most usual ffeasts or days
of payment in the year that is to say, on the ffeasts of the nativity of our Lord God, of the annunciation of the blessed Virgin Mary
of St. John the Baptist and of St. Michaell Th'arch Angell by even and equall portions the first of the said payments to begin and be made
the first and next of the said Quarter days which shall happen after my decease provided nevertheless That if my said Wife
and Extor hereafter named shall agree and think proper to live together which I hereby recommend to them, then and in such case my
Will and mind is that my Extor do pay unto my said Wife only Three pounds and in such manner as aforesaid over and above her
Board for such time as my said Wife shall continue to live with him Item I Give and Bequeath unto my nephew Richard
Richardson and my niece Ann Richardson son and daughter of my late Brother Richard Richardson the Sums of ffive
pounds a piece to be severally paid to them by my Extor hereafter named within Six months after my decease Item All the rest
and residue of my reall and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever after my debts Legacys ffuneral Expenses and probat of
this my Will are paid out and discharged I Give devise and bequeath unto my nephew Henry Richardson son of my said late Brother
Richard Richardson and to his Heirs Extors and Assignees for ever Chargeable nevertheless with the paymt. of the before mentioned annuity
unto my said Wife in manner aforesaid And I do hereby nominate ordain constitute and appoint my said nephew Henry
Richardson Sole Extor of this my Will And Lastly Desire my loving ffriend John Tildon of Bread aforesaid Gent. to
oversee and assist my said Extor in the execution of this my Will desiring my said Extor to follow and pursue his directions and
advise therein And I Give unto the said John Tildon the sum of five pounds for such his direction and assistance to be paid to him by my
said Extor within six months next after my decease In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seale this
Thirty first day of July in the Seventh year of the Reigne of King George over great Brittain Annoq Domini 1721
