Blomefield [3:158, 4:697, 4:740, and 4:773-774] claims that Sir John Howard married Joan de Cornwall, daughter of Richard de Cornwall (illegitimate son of Richard, Earl of Cornwall) by his wife Joan, and sister and heir of another Richard de Cornwall.
Joan married Sir John Howard of Wiggenhall, Norforlk, son of Sir William Howard and Alice Fitton, about 1308. (Sir John Howard of Wiggenhall, Norforlk died in 1331 4.)
