Nicholas de Saint-Maur
General Notes: NICHOLAS DE SAINT MAUR, as son and heir of Simon, who was brother and heir of Geoffrey de SAINT MAUR, sued for land in Harbury, co. Warwick, May 1267. He spent the greater part of his life in attendance upon Henry III. He was in the King's fruitless expedition in France, 1242-43; in attendance, 1253, at Westminster, and throughout the campaign in Gascony, 1253-54 (b); in 1255, in England; sent thence to Gascony. He accompanied Henry to France, November 1259, and again in 1262. In 1263 he was summoned for service against Llewelyn. He married Isabel ----; and died in or after May 1267. Nicholas married Isabel. |
