General Notes: GUETHENOC, son of --- (-1046). Vicomte du château de Thro-en-Porhoët. 1008. "Alanus Cornugallensis comes et Guethenocus vicecomes et Gozolinus eius filius" are named as present in a charter dated 1021 under which Judicaël Bishop of Vannes requested restitution of property taken from the abbey of Redon at the time of the Norman invasion. "Guethenocus vicecomes de Castello Thro" granted the abbey of Redon the right to build a chapel at his castle, by charter dated [1040]. Guethenoc married Allarum de Cornouaïlle, daughter of Benedict de Cornouaïlle Comte de Cornouaïlle and Guinodeon. |
