ADELISA, daughter of --- (-27 May ----, bur Quarr Abbey, Isle of Wight). The Fundationis et Fundatorum Historia of Forde Abbey records that "comes Baldwinus" was buried "apud Quareram" where "uxor sua Adelicia et…filius suus Henricus" had been buried. The text implies that Adelisa predeceased her husband. "Ricardus comes Devonić" donated property to Exeter St James, for the soul of "…meorumque parentum defunctorum…patris mei Baldwini comitis et matris meć Adel", by charter dated 1157. The necrology of Mont-Bourg records the death "27 May" of "Alicia de Reveriis". 1
Adelisa married Baldwin de Reviers 1st Earl of Devon, son of Richard de Reviers Seigneur de Reviers, de Vernon et de Néhou and Adelise Peverel.1 (Baldwin de Reviers 1st Earl of Devon was born between 1090 and 1100,1 died on 4 Jun 1155 1 and was buried in Quarr Abbey, Quarr Road, Ryde, Hampshire, PO33 4ES, GB 1.)
