  Research Notes:

Given the dates of John FitzAlan's death (1267) and that the daughters were probably born before 1251 (Bertreya's IPM), it is unlikely that Matilda was the mother of William's four daughters.

William next married Matilda de Verdun, daughter of Nicholas de Verdun and Clemence, after 10 Nov 1267. (Matilda de Verdun died on 20 Nov 1283 1.)
